Old steamer trunk turned Coffee Table

My hubster found this old steamer trunk on craigslist for $15. He had a vision which i couldn't see for the life of me until it was close to being finished. I wish i had a before picture to show how beat up this thing was. 
Hubster bought $5 travel stickers online and stuck on top. He than sealed with polyester resin to give that acrylic hardtop look. It was missing one of the handles on the side, so being creative as he is he took one of his old leather belts and cut down to size and improvised. Inside the trunk he went ahead and covered the top lid with felt material. On the bottom he stained with dark walnut and clear coat with polyurethane. There is endless possibilities on what you can do inside this trunk. If i could only sew/upholster im sure i would have made it a little more cozy in there lol.
We now use this in the family room as our coffee table. Plenty of storage inside for blankets, pillows, boardgames etc. Pretty nifty eh? =)
