Pallet Shelving

This was one of my first DIY projects that i saw on Pinterest and fell in love with. Took me forever to obtain a pallet, but you can always check on Craigslist or maybe talk to a near by shopping/grocery store maybe they will be nice enough to give one for free.  I was lucky to get a 30x30 which is a perfect size. Not too big and not too small. But i underestimated how heavy this pallet was, almost fell over lol.
I began by taking the middle 2 boards off to open up for the shelving. Its a bit of a struggle because they used nails that has screw like body to make sure the boards would stay put. But with a bit of elbow grease or bribing hubster with homemade cookies it can be done. Hubster got some $5 l brackets from Walmart and attached 2 on top and 2 in the middle to give it support. This is heavy so make sure to put all 4 brackets up. This would be a nightmare if it fell on someones toes. Oh i also sanded it off a bit just to get any lose wood particles and splinters. I did not stain nor painted it because i loved the rustic and old feel it gave out. That alone was what made the piece unique. Overall this project only cost $5 and took less than an hour to put together. The frames used were just collecting dust in the closet so i was really thrilled to use them once more.
